UpCycling - Pen/Pencil Holder

I've been staring at this coffee can that held a bunch of pens behind my sink for months.  I never seem to have the time to craft so I finally found a minute and created a new pen holder.

Supplies:
Old Coffee Can
Pair of old kid's jeans
Left over felt
Hot glue gun

First, cut off a piece of the jean leg enough to cover your can.

Trace the bottom of the can over the felt and cut out the circle.
That piece of felt will cover the bottom of the can.

I placed my can in the pant leg and hot glued a little over hang over the top (inside) the can.
Then I cut off any excess on the bottom and hot glued it in place.
I covered the ugly bottom with some felt (see above).

I cut a piece of the pant leg off about 2 inches wide.
I hot glued the piece of jean to the sides forming a square.
I did this because I didn't want all my pens and pencils hitting each other.

Trying again

I tried blogging my life but life always gets in the way.  I'm jumping into it again and using this to keep me accountable of my goals for 2013.
I want to use 2013 to learn to enjoy life more and stop hanging in the past.  I love Baltimore and it's time to learn more about it.


MY 2013 GOALS
Not just to get back in shape but to live healthier.
Enjoy my children because they are getting older each day.
Get some crafting done.
Take loads of pictures :)
